I'm an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. However, many people choose to use their out-of-network insurance benefits to get some reimbursement for our sessions. If you have out-of-network benefits, I'm always happy to help you figure out how to use them!

To understand your plan’s specific benefits, I recommend starting by reaching out to your insurance company to confirm whether you have out-of-network benefits, and if so, how much they tend to cover. Here are a few questions you can ask:
Do I have out-of-network coverage for outpatient mental health care?
What is my deductible?
What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed after (and/or before) reaching my deductible?
How do I submit claims each month?
If you have out-of-network benefits and choose to use them, you’ll pay the full session fee at the time of each appointment. On the 1st of each month I’ll provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt) for the previous month’s sessions. You can submit this to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
While it’s typically a pretty quick submission process through your insurance portal, if this feels overwhelming or confusing, or if you'd just like this extra step to be taken off your plate, I can help you use Mentaya, a service that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. They'll file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to help you get reimbursed. As your therapist, I don't receive any benefit from your use of Mentaya.

I see therapy as a commitment you make to yourself and your goals, and I’ve found that my clients get the most out of therapy by meeting weekly. So, we’ll schedule a weekly appointment spot in order to best support our work together.

I work only with adults age 20+, and primarily with adults age 25-39.

It depends! Some people come to therapy for just a short period of time, maybe a few months, for instance to work on a short-term issue or to learn some new skills. Others may choose to be in therapy for a longer period of time, from several months to a few years, to work on ongoing or deeper issues. For those in the latter group, along the way we'll often still be working on managing short-term challenges and learning in-the-moment skills.
-
You can expect compassion and support while also being challenged (when you're ready) to gain insight and make some of the changes that come along with your goals.
Sometimes change moves gradually, and other times you'll see quicker progress.
I always encourage feedback throughout our work together, so I can make sure I'm showing up in the way you need me to, and that we're going in the direction you'd like us to go and working on what's most important to you.

I provide telehealth sessions, which means you can join our sessions from the comfort of your home, office, or wherever's most convenient for you. Most of my clients are located throughout NYC and Long Island, but the beauty of telehealth is that I can meet with anyone located in New York!
